Our client is a well-established manufacturing/industrial company offering a wide range of services and product lines for industrial, commercial, and utility customers looking for a Human Resources Generalist to assist the HR Department in day-to-day functions in recruiting, hiring, benefits, LOAs and enforcing company policies and procedures.
This is a full time position, 40 hours per week. The company offers a full set of benefits to include Medical, dental, vision, matched 401K, LTD, STD and more.
Detailed Responsibilities:
· Facilitates a full range of recruiting responsibilities including, interacting with department managers to better comprehend the skills-sets and core competencies needed for hiring open positions in multiple states.
· Maintains and updates human resources documentation as needed and ensures policies and procedures are maintained.
· Guides all level of employees on matters related to HR issues and consults with management proper disciplinary actions policies and procedures.
· Assists with on-site investigations.
· Administers all pre-employment compliance activities for new hires.
· Manages and coordinates employee recognition programs.
· Ensures federal and state legal compliance.
· Promotes and maintains a high-level of rapport with all levels of employees while increasing human resources’ visibility.
· Develops, coordinates, and provides presentations on HR related topics and HR related training.
· Aids the Training Coordinator with initiatives as needed including but not limited to new hire orientation.
· Keeps up to date on new concepts, best practices, regulatory changes, and the latest updates and newest trends affecting technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
· Works closely with HR Director on workers’ compensation and related issues.
· Provides other work-related duties as needed.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
· Strong comprehension of full life cycle recruiting standard operations.
· PHR or SPHR designation strongly preferred.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
· Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
· Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Outstanding time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Microsoft Office Suites or related software.
· HRIS and talent management systems with the ability to quickly learn those systems used by the employer
· Management experience is a plus
