Basic Purpose:

Employee is responsible for conducting all OSHA documented training in English and Spanish. The position will also conduct plant audits and safety checks on various safety compliance requirements on a regular schedule. Also from time to time backup and support to HR for translation and dictation of documents and conversations may be required to ensure that staff can communicate their needs effectively and be compliant on training, HR and production needs. Employee is also in charge of conducting all safety and personnel trainings that require Spanish translations to ensure understanding by the employee and ultimately compliance when working with job performance and safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Backup Translator for HR, Safety, Medical and Management.

Backup for Interview and HR/Medical screening process and Spanish New Hire Orientation.

Assist with maintaining company electronic notifications, power point presentations and company postings in English and Spanish.

Conducts OSHA regulated trainings, such as, but not limited to, monthly Safety Talks, fire extinguisher checks, ladder checks and weekly/monthly safety audits and walk throughs.

Safety Manager

Assists with reporting, logging, and tracking of OSHA related training, plant training and plan audits to ensure compliance and accountability of records are all in accordance.

Assists with maintaining and creating policy and audit checks for current and new company safety requirements and make suggestions and identifies issues that need addressed.

Maintain OSHA documented trainings and ensure compliance.

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

Recommended HR Knowledge and Safety Background

Bilingual English and Spanish


· High school diploma, GED or equivalent

· Preferred certificate of HR and Safety Training completion

· Self-motivated and the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision

· Preferred computer skills including MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Power Point

· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (verbal/writing) effectively.

· Maintain high level of confidentiality at all times.
